Description
The workaday green tea staple. The grassiness is subdued and allows a simple sweetness to come forth and soften the seaweed spirits. Easy and unassuming.
Produced summer 2023 in Shizuoka Prefecture. It’s a deep-steamed tea made from the Yabukita cultivar. Bancha is made of leaf material obtained when pruning the plants between standard first and second flush harvests. Its coarse leaves produce a simpler, lighter cup.

1st Steep – 10 grams | 8 oz water | 175°F | Steep 40 seconds
2nd Steep – 10 grams | 8 oz water | 175°F | Steep 10 seconds
